Best time to visit: In the spring (March to the end of May), when it’s a little cheaper to visit. Summer is very hot, but there are exciting events to enjoy, including the Atlanta Jazz Festival. Avoid September, which is hurricane season.

You’ll find chic stores in Buckhead, known as ‘The Beverly Hills of the East’, eclectic finds in the flea market Paris on Ponce and a little bit of everything in the Edgewood Retail District.

Best Area for Families: Inman Park This residential district is like a small town in its own right, offering a more peaceful pace than the city center, beautiful parks and excellent museums. Downtown attractions are easily accessible, too.
