UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

United States of America

The United States of America has big cities, mountains, deserts, plains, waterfalls, rivers and anything else you can think of... Awesome... Wow!

What you need to know about the United States

Language: English is the national language. In southern parts of the country such as California, Texas and Florida you will also find a lot of locals who speak Spanish.

Currency: The currency in Albania is the US Dollar.

Banking: ATMs are found all over the country and all major cards are accepted.

Weather: The country is so big and varies so much in terrain that it is hard to be specific about the weather. Summers are really warm and winters, especially in the most northerly states, things can get snowy and pretty darn cold.

The more you travel around the States, the more you understand that the nation has so much to the table and offers every traveller something that they will love. You just have to know where to visit to find the perfect fit for you like, hobbies and bucket list dreams.

Each state offers something exceptional – regardless of whether you're hoping to loosen up in a tropical climate, have an awesome snow filled experience, or the natural marvels of the US astounding National Parks, there's something for each sort of explorer.

The United States is the ideal location for grand drives, heavenly food, cosmopolitan city life, wild, social variety, excellent sea shores, and anything else you can possibly think of.

America is the land of the road trip

The thing with the United States is that it is vast and therefore it’s impossible to see it all in one trip.

There is always the option of picking a city and exploring it for a week, which is a perfectly good idea.

Another way to see more of the country is to rent a car, saddle up and hit multiple locations in one trip. The US is the land of the car after all.

The iconic ‘Route 66’ is the most famously driven road trips. It’s a classic taking you all the way from Chicago to LA. The road is littered with museums, famous pit stops and loads of motels, and it does feel like as you wind your way through the middle of the country, that you’re treading an iconic path.

You’ll also be not too far at points from landmarks like the Grand Canyon or Santa Fe, so if you plan your trip well, you can jump off the main route and check out some brilliant places along the way.

There are plenty of other options for a great US road trip, so once you know what cities or landmarks you are interested in seeing, you can match it to a route and start your American adventure!

US culinary delights that might surprise

When thinking of food in the United States a lot of people immediately conjure up images of burgers and steaks in their mind. That’s true, this is the country that gave us McDonald’s, Burger King and pretty much perfected fast food as away of dining.

The portions are also fairly insanely large on the whole.

But what US cuisine also benefits from is its heritage as a nation founded on the notion of immigration from far and wide.

The culinary influences that accompanied various groups of settlers are still seen today. From the influence of the Caribbean and Mexican in the southern states, to the traditional dishes served up in places like New York and Boston where Irish and Italian immigrants decided to call home, the contemporary dishes on offer often hark back to distinct cultural roots, and a lot of it is seriously yum!
